Sportcrete for Your Manege?

Sportcrete’s patented, chemically engineered drainage system has now been proven to work for Maneges as well. Our environmentally friendly product is easily installed without the need for geo-textile membranes. Two inches (50mm) of Sportcrete approve aggregate is installed directly over the top of the entire area and over the drain lines. The Sportcrete solution is then sprayed over the top of the aggregate in two coats which permeate through the profile before setting for maximum strength, durability and increased longevity. The spray binds the aggregate together whilst remaining porous (draining up to 72 inches per hour). The Sportcrete layer prevents contamination of the drains, dramatically increasing the life expectancy of the drainage medium therefore significantly reducing the need for costly refurbishments. No tacks or pins are needed which can sometimes work their way to the surface and cause potential harm. There are no joins to come undone or loosen which can cause drains to contaminate. Due to the robust nature of Sportcrete it is more durable and does not tear when the working surface is redistributed or replaced. The whole area will act as drainage medium and not just over the drain lines, thus speeding up the drainage potential to ensure year round use whatever the weather!

Sportcrete's Unparalleled Repairability

One of the key advantages of using Sportcrete for Golf Bunkers is it's unique repairability characteristics.

If the Sportcrete is damaged by use outside the applicable warranty -- for example using equipment over the Sportcrete-stabilized stone not covered by sand, that causes cracking, destabilizes the stone or otherwise compromises the integrity and or drainage capability of the Sportcrete -- it is possible to repair the existing Sportcrete base.

Repair would be accomplished by:
  1. Removing the sand in the effected area.
  2. Inspecting and locating the area of the damaged Sportcrete sub base.
  3. Cut out or otherwise replace the effected Sportcreted area.
  4. Inspect drain for damage and repair if necessary.
  5. Reinstall 50mm of specified stone and respray with Sportcrete
  6. Allow 24 hours before reinstalling new sand. Do not reuse the sand if contaminated.
Sportcrete is the only bunker product that lends itself to an effective achievable repair status when damaged within or outside the warranty parameters.
